Changing your daily habits may also help prevent future headaches: avoid bright lights, loud noises, or strong smells that bother you; learn to say “no” so you can take time for yourself once in a while; make sure to get enough sleep each night; keep track of what you eat so you can spot any patterns, and get regular exercise to reduce stress.
